On Thursday evening, Umbra - the worldwide leader in modern, original, casual and affordable design, teamed up and hosted an exclusive invite-only press event alongside Toronto's Social Enterprise, Miracle Thieves - to celebrate the Umbra Spring/Summer 2014 Collection with Toronto's local artists. The beautiful and spacious two-storey flagship concept store was filled with positive vibes from local artists, designers, creators, bloggers, reporters, movers and shakers of the city. You name it, there were beautiful people all around enjoying the music and live performance provided by DJ Phantom Signal and Brendan Philip, whilst the crowd enjoyed drinks at the open bar and delicious eats curated by local food and lifestyle publication ACQTASTE MAG, photos and props were also provided courtesy of studio LightxHevvy. Guests were also gifted $50 gift cards exclusive to Umbra.
The collaborated, family-friendly, Umbra Store and Miracle Thieves Spring/Summer 2014 Collection officially hosted an open house to the public today, Saturday, May 3 where shoppers were given an additional 20% off all purchases. The day included music from local DJ’s Trophy Jones & Bambii a.k.a. Sophie Jones & Kirsten Aza. Coffee connoisseur, Sam James Coffee Bar also brought his signature Cut Coffee, while Wild Child's Kitchen provided all natural, organic ice pops. Being a family-friendly event and space, parents and children alike were ecstatic that Sammy Jade of "Paint My Face Too" was present to create imaginative face painting designs. There were also special merchandising installations by Jodinand Villaflores Aguillon of A HOMERUN.
The special program went on between 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and store hours continued from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
