I've recently gotten the opportunity to be apart of Toronto's Nike Run Club and I couldn't be more ecstatic! I've always been into running, or any type of cardio for that matter, and now I have more the motivation to keep it consistent! Now that summer is nearing its end, fall runs are much more ideal and enjoyable. Last Wednesday was my first run with the Nike Run Club and I'll admit, I was a tad nervous going into it as my runs are usually solo. Nonetheless, I did just fine.
Nike Toronto has a run club that meets every Wednesday evenings called the Nike+ Queen West Run Club where a group of media related participants regularly meet. I'm proud to say I'm officially one of them. Rain or shine, count me in every week!
Upon arrival, I was gifted a new pair of Nike Women's LunarGlide 6 to test out my first run with the crew in. It's comfort at its best and light against the concrete. Perhaps it was one of my most enjoyable runs to date.
The Nike LunarGlide 6 Women's Running Shoe balances plush cushioning and stability with a new, softer, lighter Lunarlon midsole and Dynamic Support technology, designed for your smoothest ride yet!
The two-piece, dual-density midsole has been re-engineered to be even softer and more responsive to movement. The Firm Phylon is featured on the medical side for support and stability during footstrikes, while the plush Lunarlon foam on the lateral side provides resilient cushioning through transitions.
The Nike+ Queen West Run Club were given two route options: 5.0 KM or 8.4 KM. Being that it was my first run, I opted for the 5.0 KM run but pushed it to 6.15 KM, so it was fair game.
I felt rejuvenated and accomplished by the end of my run. With little to no stops at all, I challenged myself all the way and it's an added bonus when you run with a great team of motivators! I'm looking forward to next Wednesday's run and to improving my time!
I've been on many runs before but none of them felt as easy and light against the concrete like my new Nike LunarGlide 6 runners! Thank you so much Nike Run Club! I'm so appreciative.
See you on the road next Wednesday!
