The "Welcome Toronto: Fashion Of The Game" event was in conjunction with the Toronto Raptors and NARS. I had the honour of hosting and creative producing the event alongside the MLSE team. "Welcome Toronto" came to life through a partnership between the Raptors and OVO in 2018. The initiative is designed to ignite the culture of the game, in the city, and focus on stories that encompass the overall culture of basketball — community, fashion, art, music, and beyond. The event celebrated how fashion inspires the game on and off the court, and how its importance has changed the game.
The conversation and overall event was special because the focus was to inspire, educate, and empower women. The young women in attendance were personally hand selected by NARS through the Toronto Fashion International Group.
I gathered a solid lineup of inspiring women panelists: Jodi Taylor (editor at Coveteur), Sasha Elina (fashion stylist), Stephanie Brownlow (founder of Carry Corp).
